How to get the most out of it
- Memory is not a single skill. Remembering a face, a phone number and where you left your keys rely on different abilities, so the games are grouped by the kind of memory they work.
- A few minutes a day is enough. Short, regular sessions are easier to keep up than long ones.
- Every game starts simply and gets harder only as you succeed. A mistake costs an attempt, not the whole game.
- Make it comfortable: in Settings you can enlarge the text, slow the pace and turn the sound off.
Visual memoryRemembering what things look like — pictures, shapes and colors — and noticing what is new, missing or changed.SequencesRemembering things in the order they came: lights, sounds, pictures and moves.Numbers & wordsHolding numbers, letters and words in mind — the memory you use for phone numbers, PIN codes and lists.Places & positionsRemembering where things are: positions on a grid, routes and the layout of objects.Focus & working memoryKeeping track of information while it changes: counting, mental arithmetic, following moving objects.AssociationsLinking things together: faces and names, objects and colors, symbols and numbers, errands and days.
